Whitecaps FC Girls Elite team begin England trip vs. Sunderland AFC

The Whitecaps FC U-16 Girls Elite team, in partnership with BC Soccer, have journeyed out on a tour of England this June to play a series of matches at St.George's Park, the England FA's national football centre.

Led by coach Natalie Lawrence, the ‘Caps departed on Tuesday and played their first match on Wednesday vs. Sunderland AFC. The Blue and White came away with a win. Daniela Ramirez had an excellent performance at fullback, Mikayla Tupper netted a pair of goals, and Megin Turi scored her first for the club.

The remaining playing schedule for the girls will be:

Thursday, June 14 vs. Derbyshire County
Friday, June 15 vs. Burton Albion
Saturday, June 16 vs. Worcestershire County
